Dunstable Town completed a league double over Chesham United with victory at Creasey Park on Saturday.

A bright start to the game saw Charlie Henry force a corner, before Danny Talbot found Adam Watkins, who fired wide.

Blues keeper Charlie May then saved from Connor Wood, while Jemale McKenzie-Lowe headed Talbot’s free kick over.

May made a good reflex stop, before Dunstable took the lead on 20 minutes when Terry Dixon teed up Adam Watkins, who fired a magnificent effort into the top corner.

Shane Blackett could have doubled the hosts’ advantage when after fine assistance from Charlie Henry, he headed into the arms of Shane Gore from close range.

Henry’s effort was comfortably held, before Dave Pearce fired into the side-netting, but Chesham were level by the break as Daniel Braithwaite converted smartly.

In the second period, Dunstable were 2-1 up almost immediately with Dixon again the provider, crossing for Elliot Bailey to head home.

Dixon then flashed wide, as Christopher Marsh shot against the bar, with McKenzie-Lowe somehow sending the rebound over.

The third arrived just after the hour as McKenzie-Lowe’s cross was turned into his own net by Alex Brown.

Chesham were back in the game on 65 minutes though when Ryan Blake notched with a free header.
