Dunstable stay top despite seeing Barton clash hit by the weather

Dunstable Town remained top of the Calor Southern League Division One Central table despite their clash at Barton Rovers called off last night.

With the Blues not in action, second-placed Rugby Town, behind Dunstable on goal difference, went down to a 1-0 defeat at Royston Town.

On Saturday, Dunstable made it 11 league wins in a row by comprehensively defeating Uxbridge at the weekend.

Chris Marsh scored on 22 minutes, while Lee Roache (29) and Tony Burnett completed victory.

Dunstable now host Northwood at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Barton fell to a narrow defeat against Northwood on Saturday.

Karl Oliyide put the hosts ahead, before Dave Lawrence buried a 20 yard drive on the stroke of half time.

In the second period, Ricky Case pulled one back, but it wasnt enough.

Rovers host Kettering Town on Saturday.
