The 19-year-old spent the latter stages of the season at Creasey Park after being released by Peterborough United, making his Blues debut in a 0-0 draw with Bideford in March and going on to score once in eight appearances.

Edwards impressed while playing for the Tigers’ U21s last month and during training, as he has now penned a one year deal and is expected to form part of Tony Pennock’s U21 squad when the Academy return for the 2016/17 campaign.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Edwards said: “I really enjoyed my trial period here and everybody made me feel welcome.

“I was pleased to get my chance to play for the U21s in a couple of games and I’m delighted I showed enough to earn a contract.

“I’m really happy that I have now signed for the Club and I’m already looking forward to next season.”

Edwards is the second Dunstable Town player to leave for the Football League this season, with Luke Pennell heading to Dagenham & Redbridge where he made his full debut before the club were relegated back to the National League.
