He said: “We have a great FA Cup tie against Kingstonian and we need as much local support as possible.

“After a tough game against Barton in the previous round, Kingstonian will be a difficult challenge as we went and had a look at them against Canvey Island on Sunday.

“I have total confidence in my manager and players but with the right support it’s like having an extra man. I would love to see people down at Creasey Park not just to see the team but to see how good the facilities are and how we are much more a family club.”

McLoughlin believes that the Blues’ new-look squad can progress even further, adding: “We have had to rebuild since the summer and the manager’s hard work is beginning to show especially with the signing of Victor Osubo who looks at constant threat in front of goal.

“With Stephen Gregory coming back to the club we looked great in midfield, while Paul Bastock comes back from suspension and we hope to have Lee Roache back in the squad too.”
