Fraters nets twice as Dunstable remain top

Dunstable Town maintained their place at the head of the Molten Spartan SML Premier table with a fine 3-1 win at Aylesbury United on Wednesday night.

The Blues had trailed at the break after Joey Acheampong netted on 15 minutes, but in the second half, Town dominated from the start.

They were level on 53 minutes when Jonathan Barnett’s free kick was headed home by Leon Cashman, before Lee Roache evaded two challenges to set up Nathan Frater to make it 2-1 shortly afterwards.

The third arrived when Frater headed home Cashman’s corner, while Town are back in league action tomorrow when they host Oxhey Jets.
