Hatters rated v Accrington Stanley

Elliot Justham: 6.5 - Keeper was back in the side for another opportunity and didn't do his chances any harm with a decent display. Good early stop from Windass, while distribution looked to have improved too.

Stephen O’Donnell: 6 - Didn’t do too much wrong defensively but never really got forward as much as he might have liked to on the right flank this time.

Dan Potts: 6.5 - Had his hands full with Mingoia for much of the game, but handled him well enough, putting in some good challenges on the Accrington winger. Might have done more in advanced positions though.

Glen Rea: 6.5 - Again gave a composed performance at centre half as Accrington didn’t create too many chances. Might be a touch disappointed to be beaten by Gornell for second goal though.

Alan Sheehan: 6.5 - Skipper for the day did his best to get Luton moving out from the back although at times put a bit too much weight on some of his passes forward.

Jonathan Smith: 5 - Good vision to pick out McGeehan for an early chance, but got caught in possession too often after that by the Stanley midfielders. Made way for Banton as Luton chased a leveller.

Olly Lee: 6 - Some good vision on display from Lee once more as he switched play out from the centre. Found himself outpaced badly by Windass for Stanley’s opener.

Cameron McGeehan: 6 - Got into some good positions for Town as came closer than most with a low shot that flew just wide. Didn’t really have the impact he would have liked second half though.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (STAR MAN): 7 - Always on the front foot for Luton as he tried to drag his side forward in the second period. Most creative outlet on day and unlucky to see his effort smash against the bar.

Jack Marriott: 6 - Had a great chance early on when denied by Etheridge from close range but after that struggled to really get any change out of the visiting defence. Afternoon ended early by knock to the back though.

Josh McQuoid: 5.5 - Fluffed a glorious chance to put Luton in front early on, blasting over an open goal and missed another good opportunity late on in what was a tough afternoon.

Paul Benson (SUB): 5.5 - On after Marriott took a blow to the back, but couldn’t really impose himself on proceedings.

Zane Banton (SUB): 6.5 - Very lively cameo from Hatters’ young striker who was a constant menace to the visiting defence.

Frankie Musonda (SUB): 6 - Five minutes for the young defender this time and might get more chances in the final six games.
