Hatters rated v Crawley Town

Stephen O’Donnell: 8 - One of his best games in a Luton shirt as motored up and down both flanks throughout the 90 minutes. Just lacked the killer final ball when in advanced areas though as Town couldn’t break through.

Dan Potts: 7 - Plenty of space to run into on the left flank and did break into the box at times, testing Paul Jones with one effort. Occasionally too quick to take the simple option when he could go for broke.

Scott Cuthbert: 8 - Defender produced one superb goal-saving challenge on McAlinden when the striker looked certain to score. Dominant in the air too and would have been gutted his side conceded so cheaply.

Alan Sheehan: 7.5 - Composed on the ball as ever, as he got a number of attacks going with his passing out from the back. Few sniffs at goal as well but couldn’t make the most of them.

Jonathan Smith: 6.5 - So unlucky to see his early long-range effort rebound back off the post. Threw himself into a few challenges once more before making way for Green during the second period.

Olly Lee: 8 - Really growing into his role as a holding midfielder as showed a lovely array of passing once more while also won plenty of possession back too, helping Luton on to the front foot.

Cameron McGeehan: 7 - Came close from range on a number of occasions as the midfielder demonstrated a clear desire to add to his 12 goals this term.

Paddy McCourt (STAR MAN): 8.5 - Some of his of his vision and passing is just sublime at times. Able to beat players for fun and there’s always an air of expectation whenever the Northern Irishman is in possession.

Craig Mackail-Smith: 6.5 - Fresh air shot in the opening stages could have made it an all-so different affair for Luton. Got through plenty of work but clear-cut chances were once more at a minimum.

Jack Marriott: 6.5 - Another who was lively and always on the look out, but never really came close to adding to his tally, snuffed out by the visitors back-line.

Joe Pigott (SUB): 6 - Brought on to try and occupy the Crawley defenders, but got precious little change out of them.

Danny Green (SUB): 6.5 - Some lovely crosses during his brief cameo, with a wonderful delivery for Benson opportunity.

Paul Benson (SUB): 6 - Missed a glorious chance with his first touch when heading against the bar from close range. Should have buried it.
