Hatters rated v Dagenham & Redbridge

Elliot Justham: 6 - Few nervy moments during the game, particularly a header he fumbled which almost led to a leveller for Jamie Cureton, although redeemed himself to block the follow-up. Clean sheet will boost his confidence too.

Stephen O’Donnell: 7.5 - Lung bursting performance from the full back who was determined to add width to his side, racing forward whenever he could. Had a hand in the goal while didn’t neglect his defensive duties either. making sure he was always back in time.

Dan Potts: 6.5 - Always looks comfortable in possession but would like to see him take the handbrake off at times and really go for it when over the half way line.

Alan Sheehan: 7 - Didn’t have too much coming his way in the first period as Dagenham rarely got out of their half. Called into action more after the break and put his body on the line to deny Matty Cash’s fierce drive.

Glen Rea : 7 - Commitment to the cause can’t be questioned as the Brighton loanee threw himself into a number of challenges. Signs of a good partnership building with Sheehan at the back now as well.

Jonathan Smith: 5.5 - Few good sliding interventions but with Town dominating possession so much, could never show the guile to find the final ball and unlock the visiting defence.

Olly Lee: 6 - Once again he tried to get things moving from the centre but not quite as effective as he might have been with a number of passes cut out by the opposition.

Danny Green: 5.5 - Back in the starting line-up after a spell on the bench and could never quite get up to speed. Delivery from set-pieces was disappointing too, especially corners, when he is usually so deadly.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu (STAR MAN): 8 - Pushed further upfield and revelled in his more adventurous role as he was a constant menace. Wonderful finish to break the deadlock and took the attack to Daggers throughout the second period.

Josh McQuoid: 6 - Saw plenty of the ball during the evening and sent a few efforts goalwards, but never quite got enough purchase on them to really test Cousins. Came close with a fine individual goal with a fine attempt towards the end.

Jack Marriott: 6 - Clearly struggling with his back injury from early on as it robbed him of his usual pace. Battled manfully until he could continue no longer.

Joe Pigott (SUB) 5 - Can’t knock his effort as he kept on trying to score, but sadly his execution was all wrong at times.

Alex Lawless (SUB): 6 - Good to see him back in the mix as he helped knit together the midfield play. Appearance 200 now beckons.

Zane Banton (SUB): 6.5 - Fast becoming a bit of a favourite with supporters and definitely looks to have a spark about him.
