High-flyers held by resurgent Rovers

BATTLING Barton Rovers claimed a goalless draw at second-placed Woodford United in Zamaretto Southern League Division One Central on Saturday.

It was a terrific performance from a rejuvenated Rovers who stood strong to hold on for a point.

Boss Dan Kennoy said: “It was a good point. In hindsight we would probably have taken a point before this game but on reflection it may well be two points dropped.
