Hull wins the double at Rovers awards night

Barton Rovers honoured their players at their recent awards night after a solid showing in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central last season.

Tommy Hull walked away with both the Player Of The Year and Players’ Player Of The Year trophies.

Rhys Hoenes was the Supporters’ Player Of The Year, while Jermaine Hall, in his first season with the club, collected the golden boot as he finished the season as top goalscorer with 14 goals.

A successful season for Rovers’ reserve team saw them finish fifth in the Suburban League and win the Bedfordshire Intermediate County Cup.

Harry Adcroft was named Players’ Player and George Higley collected the Player Of The Year award.

The evening also involved the club’s U21s and U17s with U17 player Rob Norman the surprise winner of the club’s Young Player Of The Year Trophy.

Having represented the club at both youth and senior level this season, Norman netted an impressive five cup winners medals last season.
