Hylton wants Hatters fans to stay horrible

Striker Danny Hylton has urged Luton's supporters to make Kenilworth Road a horrible place to play this season, for the opposing team.

The 27-year-old striker, who joined on a two year deal after leaving Oxford United, has played at Luton before for his previous club, but is now looking forward to running out as a home player.

He said: “It’s an intimidating place to come as when I’ve played at Luton, it’s not a nice place to play when you’re on the opposition team.

“They’re loud and they’re angry and they’re horrible at times.

“But if they’re on your side then brilliant, let them be as angry and horrible as they want to the opposition.

“It’s a fantastic fanbase and at times we’re going to need them to get behind us this season, so I’m sure they will and be the 12th man to push us over the line at times.”

Meanwhile, fellow new addition Johnny Mullins echoed Hylton’s thoughts too, adding: “I’m looking forward to playing at Kenilworth Road and being on the right side of the fans as when you’re in the away team it’s not the best.”
