FEATURE: Luton Town's biggest transfers fees received

The Hatters sold James Justin to Premier League Leicester City last week for an undisclosed fee that was a new club record, surpassing the £3million received for Curtis Davies back in August 2005.

The Luton News takes a special look at some of the other players who have earned Town the most money in transfer fees over the years.

Came through the ranks at Luton, making his professional debut in 2003, playing 62 times and scoring twice Sold to West Bromwich Albion for 3m in August 2005. Joined Aston Villa for a reported 8m and is now with Derby County.
Joined Town on loan from Portsmouth, signing permanently in July 2005 for a reported 250,000. Scored 33 goals in 111 games, before moving to Birmingham in January 2007 for 2.5m that rose to 3m when Blues won promotion.
Defender made 70 appearances, scoring three goals after coming through the the ranks before West Brom signed him for 2.5million in July 2007. Had to retire last November due to a heart condition.
Welsh striker who was part of Town's academy, scoring 13 goals in 63 games for the first team, before Arsenal shelled out for his services in January 1995. Netted over 150 goals in his career and played for Wales 51 times too.
Played just once for the Hatters, before Arsenal swooped for the 18-year old in May 1997. Spent six years with the Gunners, having spells at Birmingham and West Ham, winning 21 international caps for England.
Winger who broke through at his hometown club, playing 156 times and scoring 31 goals, as he was part of the 1988 League Cup winning side. Snapped up by Brian Clough at Forest in September 1991. Won 30 caps for Northern Ireland.
Product of Town's youth system, he played 70 times and scored six goals, before being signed by Derby County in June 1992. Spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Benfica, Everton and Fulham playing over 50 times for Wales.
Arrived at Kenilworth Road in May 2005 after leaving Wrexham, playing 74 times, scoring eight goals. Moved to Sunderland in January 2007, having five seasons with Ipswich and won almost 100 caps for Trinidad & Tobago.
Began at Kenilworth Road, making 165 appearances and scoring 22 goals. Snapped up by Coventry City boss Ron Atkinson in July 1995 and lengthy career followed, reaching an FA Cup final with Southampton.
Came through the ranks with Luton, playing 83 times and scoring 15 goals. Headed to Spurs in March 2000, while had six years with Norwich and also figured for Charlton, earning 34 caps for Ireland.
Bought from Northampton Town in March 2001 for an initial 50k, scoring a superb 103 goals in 228 matches for Luton. Went to Derby for 1m in July 2006 and also played for Leicester, before finishing his career with Hartlepool.
Joined from Leicester as a teenager, scoring 32 goals during the 1996-97 season to earn his move to Fulham in February 1998. Came back to Kenilworth Road, but headed to QPR in August 2003, this time for a much smaller sum.
Signed from Chelsea in August 1988, he bagged 18 goals in 59 games for the Hatters, as QPR tempted him away from Kenilworth Road in December 1989. Played for Blackburn and Coventry, ending his career in America.
Brought for 750k from Burnley in July 1995, he captained the side under Lennie Lawence. Returned to Turf Moor for a fee of 800k in December 1998 and helped the Clarets back to the First Division.
Joined Luton for 275,000 in 1991 from Spurs as his goalscoring form alerted Sunderland, who paid 800,000 in July 1993. Back at Town in September 1997 for 400,000 as he notched 53 times in 161 games overall.
Hatters paid 400,00 to take him from Charlton in July 1982, as he scored 28 goals in 94 games, before heading to Anfield in May 1984. Won a league title, while also played for Spurs, Portsmouth and Man City.
Signed from Shrewsbury in June 2007, only played 26 times, scoring four goals as with Town in financial diffficulties, he was sold Wolves in January 2008. Stayed at Molineux for almost 10 years and is now back with the Shrews.
Signed from Hinckley in March 2012, scoring 57 goals in 111 matches. Joined Brentford in June 2014 for a fee believed to be around 600k. Town have since pocketed over 2.5m in add-ons after a big money move to Burnley.
American keeper who Luton signed in 1991 as he played 101 games for the Hatters, before QPR came calling in August 1995. Eventually headed back to the USA and also went on to manage Indy Eleven.
Brought in from Ipswich in May 2015, netting 28 goals in 91 as he went to Peterborough for an undisclosed fee thought to be around 450k in June 2017. His move to Derby earned Town a 'very healthy' sell on bonus.
Yet another to come through the ranks at Luton. Made 146 appearances, scoring 17 goals, heading to Portsmouth in July 2002 for 400,000, rising to 750,000 on appearances. Hung up his boots recently.
Brought in from Norwich City, as he played in the Conferene and Football League ffor Town, scoring 31 times in 106 games. Headed to Barnsley for an undisclosed fee in June 2017, where he became a first team regular last season.
Spotted by Mick Harford when playing for Truro, he became a star under Nathan Jones, with 16 goals in 55 games. Went to Birmingham in July 2017 for a fee rumoured to be anywhere up to 1m. Hit by injuries since.
