The decision to release winger Ryan Hall was a '˜logical' one according to Luton boss Nathan Jones.

Hall, 28, featured only twice since the Town manager took over in January, suffering a succession of injuries which kept him out.

The former Southend wideman made just 20 appearances in total after joining Hatters back February 2015 as Jones said: “I knew Ryan before I came here, he got injured in his first game, which was unfortunate for him.

“I know he’s been a good player in the past but I haven’t been able to use him.

“He’s done 11 days of training in four and bit months, so it’s been a frustrating time for Ryan, a frustrating time for me as I haven’t been able to use him and he’s been one of my more natural wide men.

“We wish him all the best and as he’s played about 50 minutes if football, it was maybe not a tough decision and probably a logical one.”
