Jones laughs off any safety concerns after FA launch Newport inquiry
During the 3-1 defeat at Rodney Parade to Blackpool on Saturday, Tangerines boss Gary Bowyer claimed he was struck by missiles thrown by home fans while standing in the dug out, telling the South Wales Argus: “It is a disgrace, an absolute disgrace.
“That will be investigated by the FA, but if I was the manager of Newport I’d certainly want it investigated, because that was horrific, that was out of order. You shouldn’t see scenes like that.

Newport have confirmed they will appeal for witnesses, with a club statement saying: "Such behaviour will not be tolerated by the club and shall result in relevant bans”
However, when asked if he was worried ahead of the game, Jones said: “I don’t know, but hopefully not as I’m going back to my own country.
"So if they don’t know I’m Welsh, then let them know that I’m actually Welsh from the Rhondda Valley!
"So please don’t lob anything at me, unless it’s money and notes will be far greater than coins.”
