Luton go into the game on the back of three straight victories on home soil, beating Hartlepool, Crawley and Yeovil.

Bar a disappointing 3-2 reverse to Cheltenham, Town have won six from their last seven outings in front of their own fans, as Jones said: “We’ve started to build a good bit of momentum at home, so we have to continue that.

“We need to keep trying to pick up three points, as we’ve got a big week coming up.

“We won’t look further than three o’clock on Saturday as it’s the next challenge.

“It’s a cliche but it’s the right one, we’ll go into that and it’s a big game, but it’s a game that we want, a game the fans want.

“It’s wonderful to be involved in the business end of the season, it means we’re doing something right.”

Plymouth recently showed the defensive side of their game, as going to Premier League giants Liverpool in the FA Cup they managed to hold out for a goalless draw.

Jones confirmed he was prepared for any kind of gameplan that the Pilgrims might employ today as he added: “Yes, I think we’ve shown in games lately that now we set up for any eventually.

“We’re not a one trick pony, we know we have different facets to our game, we’ve shown that and we’ve had to use that.

“We’ve had to grind out results, we’ve been fluent, started well, got goals, been very tactical against Doncaster and were excellent in our performance.

“We were scintillating against Yeovil, so I think in the last four or five games we’ve covered every eventuality.

“We’ve been defensively strong, wonderful going forward, shown a resilience, shown real good characteristics for a good team. So whatever we need to do to win the game, I’m sure we’ll be capable of doing it.”
