A second half goal from James Kaloczi earned Dunstable a hard-fought point at King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday night as they extended their unbeaten run to six games.

The visitors named an unchanged side for the match and almost snatched a late winner, only to see Geoff Mitchell’s strike ruled out for offside.

Blues keeper Paul Bastock denied Liam Hurst early on, while the Lynn player then fired wide, with Michael Clunan also off target.

Bastock made another good stop after a defensive error, but the Linnets were in front in first half stoppage time when Clunan’s free kick struck the underside of the bar and then Toby Hilliard headed the rebound home.

Dunstable manager Tony Fontanelle’s half-time team talk worked a treat as his side looked far more of a threat going forward in the second period.

Matt Nolan’s free header was easily saved before he was replaced by Lee Roache, with Mitchell also coming on and imposed himself on proceedings immediately.

Dunstable were back on level terms after 58 minutes as a corner was swung into the box and Kaloczi saw his header cross the line.

Blues thought they were in front moments later as Victor Osobu’s run was finished off by Mitchell from close range, only for the linesman’s flag to curtail any celebrations.

In the closing stages, the hosts missed a wonderful chance to claim all three points as the spoils were shared.
