Almost 100 teams converged on AFC Dunstable as the club held its fourth tournament at the weekend, which proved to be a roaring success.
Clubs from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, North London and even Dorset sent their players along to participate, as did Redhill Rangers FC, who travelled up from Bournemouth for the day.
Scouts from Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Norwich City were all in attendance, along with the likes of Luton Town and Stevenage.
The weekend consisted of teams from U8s through to U14s, with the U8s and U9s playing each other once at uncompetitive football and were awarded with participation medals.
Hosts AFC Dunstable were crowned champions in the U14 competition as they beat Barking on penalties.
Luton All Stars came out on top in the U13 tournament, as they defeated Welwyn Pegasus.
The club also won the U11 Tournament, with their Vipers’ team finishing as runners-up in the U10s event.
