TQ Addy was on target for Luton U21s as they were beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace U21s in a friendly at Hitchin Town last night.

The Hatters, taken by head of coaching & player development Adrian Forbes, gave starts to Brendan Galloway and Sam Nombe, who had both been in the squad for the 0-0 Championship draw against Coventry City on Tuesday evening.

Luton went in front on 37 minutes when the visitors failed to deal with a cross and Addy curled an excellent finish into the top corner.

However, Palace levelled moments later as Galloway was replaced at the break, along with Dion Pereira, while Nombe and Jack Chambers made way in the second period.

Midway through the half, Palace scored again to claim the victory, but there were further valuable minutes for academy graduates Sam Beckwith, Corey Panter and Jake Peck who all completed the full 90.
