Former Sheffield United, Hull City and Reading manager Nigel Adkins has been included in the running for the managerial vacancy at Luton Town, along with ex-Hatter Alan Sheehan.

Although the Hatters have stated they aren't looking to appoint a replacement to Graeme Jones until they know more about when the 2019-20 season will end and the 2020-21 campaign will start due the coronavirus, it hasn't stopped SkyBet opening a book on possible candidates.

The ex-goalkeeper and physiotherapist has taken charge of over 500 games in his career, with spells at Scunthorpe United, Southampton, Reading, Sheffield United and then Hull.

He took over at the KCOM Stadium in December 2017 when the Tigers were in a relegation battle, and after keeping them up, led City to a 13th place finish in the Championship before leaving in June 2019.

Sheehan has seen his odds priced at 16/1 after he left the Hatters in January, admitting to the Luton News, he would love to become a manager one day and didn't rule out a return to Kenilworth Road at some stage too.

Other potential replacements listed are Michael Flynn (14/1), Gareth Ainsworth (16/1), Ian Evatt (16/1) and Michael Duff (16/1).
