All the odds as Hatters host Exiles

Exeter netted a late equaliser to bring Luton Town’s incredible winning sequence to a halt with the hosts converting a penalty to nick a share of the spoils at St James Park last Saturday.

Scott Griffiths headed the Hatters in front early and despite the winning sequence discontinuing thereafter, their unbeaten record was stretched with the Hatters now yet to taste defeat in their last 10 league games.

Despite being leap-frogged into top spot by Wycombe John Still’s side remain in terrific nick and odds-on at 8/13 with BetVictor to be playing League One football next season and 4/1 to earn promotion as champions.

Whilst Luton’s seasonal objective undoubtedly rests with achieving promotion for a second consecutive season, the allure of the FA Cup run is sure to get the Kenilworth Road faithful giddy.

The Hatters are 1500/1 outsiders to lift the trophy aloft at Wembley in May, (Chelsea and Man City 6/1 joint-favourites with BetVictor) but are just two games away from a potential a potentially financially lucrative third round tie with one of the big boys from the Premier League.

Before that they need to see off the visiting Newport County on Saturday however, and BetVictor make Luton 23/20 favourites to beat Justin Edinburgh’s men, the visitors 13/5 and it’s 12/5 for the game to go to a replay.

County are seven points behind the Hatters in the table and arrive in similarly warm order, unbeaten in their last five but poor away from home; one win and one goal in their last four games away and as such the Hatters look excellent value to reign supreme once more.

Punters should back Luton to keep a clean sheet at 8/5 and to win to nil at 13/5 with BetVictor with the 2-0 correct score offering even further value at 10/1.
