All the odds as Hatters travel to Oxford

Best news coming out of Kenilworth Road, and there was plenty of good news, is the fact that Paul Benson resumes first team training next week and John Still has a number of options ahead of Saturday’s trip to the Kassam Stadium Oxford.

The Hatters are 13/8 at BetVictor to pick up maximum points and that looks too big against an Oxford side who have already lost half a dozen of League games on home soil this season.

The U’s did pick up an excellent three points at Stevenage last weekend but that was their first win in five and I think John Still’s side are a decent bet to do the double over Saturday’s hosts having won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Kenilworth Road back in September.

Four points cover the top five in League Two and Luton have a game in hand: Shrewsbury remain 11/8 favourites for the title with Burton Albion 10/3 and the Hatters 4/1. York City are the midweek visitors to Kenilworth Road and six points would be most welcome from what appears to be two attractive looking fixtures.

Town to win and both teams to find the back of the net is a 19/4 chance but I think it best to keep the bet simple this weekend; 13/8 for the Hatters must be the recommendation.

Having beaten Cambridge 3-2 last weekend coincidence punters might wish to have a nibble at another 3-2 success against Oxford at the Kassam Stadium but back-to-back promotions is the sole aim and the Hatters remain ½ to be playing League One football next term as they continue their march up the Football League.
