All the odds as Hatters visit Cambridge

It has been a fantastic 2014 for Luton Town and let’s hope for more of the same in 2015.

Luton Town and Cambridge United have never met in the FA Cup proper but the Hatters did win 2-0 at the Abbey Stadium in the fourth qualifying round back in October 2012.

It shows how far both sides have come in the interim two years that here they are both, arguably, looking for back-to-back promotions into League One.

An interesting stat that none of the last seven games between the sides has gone to the home team and let’s hope that sequence is maintained on Saturday when 1,400 away fans will descend on the Abbey Stadium.

The Hatters are marginal favourites at 13/8 to go into the fourth round at the first attempt with the U’s 7/4 and a replay 23/10.

Given those odds I am surprised that we at BetVictor are also betting 10/11 the pair to qualify for the fourth Round and that must be the recommendation for Town to progress.

John Still wouldn’t necessarily like a replay but might have to settle for a draw.

Mark Cullen has scored in the last two Luton visits to Cambridge and is 5/1 to grab the opening goal and 31/20 to find the back of the net during the 90 minutes.

Town are 3,000/1 to lift the FA Cup come May with Manchester City and Chelsea our 11/2 joint favourites.

Top-of-the-table Shrewsbury visit Kenilworrth Road next Thursday evening in a massive game for the Hatters who remain 8/11 to be promoted at the end of the season.

The Shrews visit the Pirelli Stadium Burton on Saturday in League Two and are 7/4 favourites for the title with the Hatters 4/1.
