Luton assistant boss Mick Harford is confident that defender James Bree will be fit for this afternoon’s Championship contest against Preston North End.

The full back, who turned 23 yesterday, wasn’t included in the squad at Coventry City on Tuesday night, despite playing 90 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Swansea City on Saturday.

Speaking about his absence, with Bree one of four alterations to the side for the goalless draw at St Andrew’s, Harford said: “James had a little niggle in his groin, he just picked it up on Saturday, but he’ll be fine for Saturday.

“There were few changes, we needed to freshen up, one or two missed out, so there was a chance for everyone else.

“Joe Morrell came in and did very well, one or two others came in and I thought there were some really good performances.”
