Brill not heading out of Kenilworth Road

Boss Paul Buckle has insisted there is no way that goalkeeper Dean Brill will be loaned out despite failing to break into the side this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 26-year-old has yet to feature for Town this season after re-signing on a free transfer in the summer, but Buckle insisted he was playing a vital role at Kenilworth Road.

He said: “We’ve got two good goalkeepers and Brilly has not had a chance yet in goal.

“He plays a major role in helping Mark perform on a Saturday, he trains hard every day with Dimi (Kharine).

“They push each other and get on very well off the field.

“Dean will get his chance, he’s such an honest lad and a great lad to work with.

“There’s no way I’m letting him out on loan, that’s not going to happen, no chance.”
