Buckle thrilled to finally capture Rendell
Buckle, who signed Rendell, 25, when in charge of Torquay United back in 2009, said: “Scott didn’t have to come and join us. He had a year left on his contract at Wycombe and had offers from other league clubs.
“He’s got a brilliant track record of scoring goals and is another player with a promotion on his CV.

“I had him on loan at Torquay and tried to sign him but wasn’t able to, but it’s great we’ve been able to do a deal.”
Buckle also believes that the lure of playing at Kenilworth Road worked in Town’s favour as he added: “Went we sat down Scott immediately spoke about our support.
“He’s aware of the fanbase and the grandeur and history of this club.

“One thing I can assure you is that he’ll work his socks off, and I’m sure the supporters will appreciate that and welcome him with open arms to the Luton Town family.”
