Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown's chances of featuring for Luton again this term rated as 'touch and go'

Luton boss Nathan Jones believes it will be ‘touch and go’ whether he can call upon the undoubted talents of on-loan Chelsea midfielder Izzy Brown for Town’s run-in to the Championship season.

The 23-year-old went off at half time in the 5-0 defeat to Reading with what was later revealed as an Achilles injury by Jones, ruling him out of the 1-1 draw against Barnsley and 2-0 win at Huddersfield on Friday night.

Brown returned to Stamford Bridge for a scan last week and when asked whether he might feature in Luton’s final three games of the season, starting against QPR tomorrow night,l Jones said: “It’s touch and go with Izzy really, but we won’t risk him if he’s not right.

"He’s a very creative player, we might need that in the coming games, so let's see.

"It’s such a quick turnaround between games, so people don’t get too much time to recover, but we’ll see.”
