The 21-year-old forward is expected to complete a deal at Kenilworth Road this week and could make his debut against Shrewsbury on Thursday.

Cherries assistant boss Jason Tindall told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: “We feel this will be a really good loan move for him. John Still (Luton manager) has a really good track record with players, especially strikers.

“Hopefully, Jayden will go to Luton and play a lot more than he did in his most recent loan move. If he can get the minutes, we are confident he will score goals and do well.”

Stockley has been on loan at League Two rivals Cambridge this season, but despite scoring twice on his debut against Carlisle United, featured only a further three times, before cutting short his stay due to the lack of opportunities.

He has also been with Accrington Stanley, Leyton Orient, Torquay and Woking, where he scored 10 goals in 26 games, including one against Luton during the Cards’ 3-1 win on January 1, 2013.
