The 6ft 2in, 21-year-old forward arrives at Kenilworth Road on an initial one month deal in time to face Shrewsbury Town in Thursday’s live televised Sky Bet League 2 fixture.

Stockley was first called up to the Cherries first team by manager Eddie Howe as a 15-year-old in 2009 and has made 22 appearances for the Dorset club, scoring twice.

He has spent time on loan at Dorchester, Accrington, Woking, where he scored against Luton on New Year’s Day 2013 and Leyton Orient, before joining Cambridge earlier this season.

He scored twice for the U’s but only played four times, and went back to Bournemouth, where he netted four goals in two matches for the development squad.
