Luton attacker Harry Cornick isn’t complaining when it comes to the Hatters crazy fixture schedule this season.

The Hatters head to Swansea City today for their fifth game in 15 days, with another six matches to squeeze in before the the turn of the year.

With the coronavirus pandemic seeing all sides have to complete their campaigns in a shortened timescale than usual, there is very little respite for the players between now and May.

However, Cornick, who had a break on Wednesday night when on the substitutes bench for the match with Norwich City, said: “It’s just what it is, it’s our job, you can’t knock the job that we have and the life that we live and then complain about too many fixtures as there’s too many pluses and bonuses with this.

“It is going to be tough physically more than anything with so many games coming up.

"So I think the team that has the fittest squad, picks up the least amount of injuries, picks up the least amount of Covid cases is going to really do well this year.

“As with so many games coming up, the squad is going have to be rotated so much that you're going to miss games as you’re physically not going to be able to play them.

"We need to make sure we’re doing everything we can on and off the pitch to make sure we’re right.”

After having 1,000 fans back inside Kenilworth Road on Wednesday night for the 3-1 win over the Canaries, Town revert to playing in front of any empty stadium today when they head to Swansea City, with supporters not allowed back to watch matches in Wales yet.

Cornick added: “I guess it’s easier going to an away ground with no fans there, as it takes away the home advantage when you’ve got thousands of fans chanting your team's name and spurring you on to victory.

“For us, it’s probably been a bonus going away without any fans.

"Maybe it will make our away games a bit harder with some support there, but we’ve just got to go into it with the same form we’ve been in recently.”
