Attacker Harry Cornick wants the Hatters to make their own headlines by knocking Premier League Chelsea out of the FA Cup tomorrow.

So far this season the competition has thrown up a number of shocks, with Crawley Town dumping out Leeds United and Blackpool seeing off West Bromwich Albion on penalties in the previous stage.

Non-league Chorley also beat Peterborough United in the second round, while Marine had the spotlight on them ahead of a magnificent run which saw them eventually go out to Premier League Spurs.

It’s something Cornick wants at Luton now, as ahead of the game, he said: “I think the FA Cup is a magical cup, it’s a brilliant as you can get drawn against anyone, that’s the beauty of the cup.

"There are so many upsets and you can really write the headlines the next day.

"If Luton go to Stamford Bridge and get a win and knock them out of the cup, it will be all over the news, all over the headlines, all over the papers, so that’s what we’ve got to look at it.

"It's a massive chance to get a scalp in the FA Cup and create some history for Luton Town.”

Standing in Luton’s way of a place in round five for the first time since 2013, is a Chelsea side containing millions and millions of pounds with of international talent.

However, Cornick will relish the challenge of going up against whoever manager Frank Lampard opts to put out, saying: “I don’t think you can psych yourself up for it really, it’s one of those games that you dream of as a kid.

"You’re playing against the team you support, playing against the best players in the world, so growing up you always wanted to play against the players in that team.

"You want to play against (N'Golo) Kante, want to play against (Timo) Werner and Tiago Silva as well, they're the best players in the world really.

"So it doesn't take much to psych yourself up as you want to test yourself and see how good you really can be.”

Although Town have struggled on the road recently up until last weekend when they won 1-0 at Bournemouth, Cornick is confident they will be able to put on a show for the increased watching audience, with the game shown live on BBC One.

He doesn't expect to just turn up and try to stifle the Blues either, adding: "I think we’ll play our own game, we’ll go there with a lot of confidence, we’re in a bit of form at the minute, playing quite well, playing some good stuff.

"If we go there and play our best football, defensively we’re sound and keep our mistakes to a minimum, I think we’ve got a great chance of getting a result.

"Their team is going to be under a bit of pressure, they need a result, so we’ve got to take that into our own hands and use that against them.

"You’ve got to go into every game believing you can win it and I think we’ve got enough in our squad to cause them a lot of problems.”
