Cullen urges Town to build on Robins win

Striker Mark Cullen is hoping that Hatters can build on Saturday’s win over Cheltenham Town.

The 1-0 victory was Luton’s first at home this campaign and Cullen knew just how important a three points it was.

He said: “We needed that win. The lads have been working really hard and the results haven’t gone our way in the past few weeks, but I think we deserved the win.

“We want to kick-on and build some momentum now. We’ve got to get ourselves ready for York now, put in a performance like we did and the results will come.”

After notching the winner at Carlisle on the opening day, Cullen had failed to hit the target since.

He proved what a canny operator he can be though, finding space before wonderfully glancing Scott Griffiths’ cross into the net and boss John Still thought it was a classic example of his finishing talents.
