Dance steps back for the lure of Luton

NEW signing James Dance wouldn’t have given up the prospect of playing League football for any club other than Luton Town, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder put pen to paper at Kenilworth Road last Monday, foregoing the chance to test himself in League Two after winning the Conference title while at Crawley Town last season.

Dance, who began his career at Birmingham City, still harbours ambitions of appearing in the Football League and believes he can achieve that goal while at Luton.

He said: “I’ve never played in the League and that’s what I want to do.

“There’s not many teams I’m willing to give up the chance to come and play for, but Luton is certainly one of them.”
