Town midfielder Nathan Doyle is looking to make sure his side are in the hat for a potentially lucrative FA Cup third round draw with victory at Bury this weekend.

The Hatters visit their League Two promotion rivals on Saturday in the knowledge that a win could see them drawn against a Premier League side.

Doyle said: “We can take a break from the league and go up to Bury and put a good performance in to hopefully get our name in the hat for the next round of the FA Cup.

“We want to win the league and go as far in the FA Cup as we can.

“It’s not that the FA Cup isn’t important either, it’s very important.

“As a kid, you were always playing in the park and wanting to play at Wembley, so we take it very seriously.”

Doyle has experienced a magnificent cup run while at former club Bradford City as he played in the Capital One Cup final against Premier League Swansea City in 2013 and doesn’t see any reason why Luton can’t emulate their success either.
