The hosts have been in superb form this season, winning 11, drawing one and losing just two of their Professional Development League Two fixtures.

Town will be very much the underdogs going into the tie, starting at 2.30pm, but Driver said: “They’re doing very well. Youth football wise it’s a good draw, as they got to the finals or the semi-finals last year in category two.

“In youth terms, it’s a bigger draw than if the first team went and played Huddersfield first team.

“I’d count them in the Premier League of the youth sides. They’re 10 points clear in their league, hadn’t lost until recently, so we know it’s a tough one.

“But it’s also one the boys should relish and they know that if we’re on form and they’re not, we give ourselves a chance.

“Peterborough beat Wolves in the week, so we know that our level is capable of going there and giving it a go,

“Without being complacent and saying, you’re going to get beat, there’s no point, if we have a good day and they have not such a good day, there’s a chance.

“We’ve won seven out of eight league games, we’ve done well in the Youth Cup, in our terms, we’re doing as well as they are.”

Hatters have already impressed on the road in the competition so far, winning at Boston and Gateshead, so Driver believes they can draw from those previous experiences at the John Smith’s Stadium.

He continued: “We’ve had some tough games, not league sides, but sides that have done well in the Youth Cup before.

“Travelling three and six hours should be experience enough to help us.

“It’s our sixth game, only their first game and hopefully that experience for the boys will help them.

“It’s a nice stadium, we’re playing on a decent pitch, it should be good for them playing in a big arena.”

Town are going somewhat into the unknown this afternoon though, as Driver said: “The problem is since we knew we were playing them, we’ve had games the same day.

“You just ask people, you listen to people and get information about shape. They probably watched us at Gateshead, so they’ll have an idea of what we’re about, but I’ve got an idea of what they’re about.”
