The summer signing is slowly showing signs of rediscovering his best form as he also excelled in the win over Newport, and could have won the game in the second half, but was denied by a point-blank Matt Ingram save.

Still said: “The last couple of games, Drury’s been terrific. On another day he was through, he would have scored, the ball just ran away from him.

“His form is very, very good now and I don’t think a goal is too far away.”

With the likes of Paul Benson, Luke Guttridge, Alex Lawless and Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu all still missing for the home clash with Portsmouth this afternoon, the Town boss has been giving minutes to Ross Lafayette and Ricky Miller from the bench in recent games.

He added: “We’ve got lots of attacking players out, we have to be fully aware that if we get a knock anywhere, someone needs to be ready.

“Just making changes is giving someone game time. The people that are starting, if one of them gets a knock, you need one of them to be reasonably up to date.

“I’m trying to give Ross some game time, Ricky some game time and making the changes might gives us a little bit of something, or fresh legs if nothing else.”
