The EFL have confirmed they will hold a meeting this morning to decide whether the weekend's fixtures will take place due to the coronavirus outbreak.

It had been announced yesterday that it was business as usual, meaning Luton Town's game with Preston North End would go ahead.

However, news emerged last night, that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and England and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive, meaning the Gunners' Premier League game with Brighton was postponed, while three Leicester City players were also in self-isolation, as are the whole Everton squad.

The Hatters, along with the rest of the Football League clubs, announced they had received a statement from the EFL, saying: "The EFL Board will meet this morning to make a decision on this weekend’s fixtures and beyond.”

The meeting is expected to take place around 10.30am.
