Former Luton striker Jake Jervis has completed a move to Finland, joining Veikkausliiga side SJK.

The 28-year-old was signed by Town boss Nathan Jones during his first spell in charge back in January 2018, but only made 14 appearances, scoring once, that in a 3-0 Carabao Cup win at Cardiff City last season.

He was loaned to AFC Wimbledon and Salford City before being released in the summer when his contract expired.

Jervis has now made the move abroad for the second time in his career, having played for Turkish side Elazığspor in the 2012-13 campaign.

He penned a one-year deal at the OmaSP Stadion, where former Town first team coach Joaquin Gomez is on the coaching staff, joining along with Argentine attacker Emmanuel Ledesma.

Technical director Richard Dorman told the club's official website: "We are pleased to have two offensive players of this level join our team.

"They have both played in tough leagues and we hope that their adaptation to Finnish football will go quickly."

Meanwhile, Jervis himself added: "I'm pretty excited, I talked to the coaches even before I came here about what they want from me and what kind of football is played here.

"I hope to be able to help the team in offensive play and in the form of goals."
