Former Luton striker Jack Marriott has joined Town's Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan from Derby County.

The 26-year-old began his career at Ipswich as a trainee before loan spells with Woking, Gillingham, Carlisle and Colchester.

He then made the permanent switch to Kenilworth Road in May 2015, scoring 28 goals in 91 appearances for the Hatters.

Marriott was snapped up by Peterborough in June 2017, notching an impressive 33 times in just in 56 games, as he was snapped up by Derby for an undisclosed fee just 12 months later.

He has found life that bit tougher with the Rams, scoring 17 goals in 86 appearances, although did get off the mark for the season at Luton last month, scoring County's only goal of a 2-1 defeat.

On the move, the forward said: "I want to score goals, I want to run in behind, give my all to the team.

"You'll see a lot of hard work and just commitment, that's the way I want to play.

"I'll always give my all, I just want to score goals, do my best for the team as we want to win games."

Marriott could made his debut against Birmingham this weekend and might face Town once more this month, Luton travelling to Hillsbrough next weekend.
