The 29-year-old, who scored 23 goals in 81 appearances for the Hatters between 2010-12, spent last season at Whitehawk and Macclesfield, where he bagged nine goals in 24 starts for the Silkmen.

Barnes-Homer will join another former Luton player in midfielder Jim Stevenson, who agreed terms with the Shots last week.

Meanwhile, ex-Hatters Matthew Spring, Robbie Willmott, John-Paul Kissock and Solomon Taiwo will be plying their trade in the Conference South next term.

Spring, who made over 300 appearances for the club in two spells, has joined Hemel Hempstead Town, with Taiwo signing for Margate and both Willmott and Kissock penning deals with big-spending Ebbsfleet.

Town will also come up against another former player this season, after Kevin Watson agreed to become assistant manager to Teddy Sheringham at Stevenage.
