Fleetwood delighted to banish unhappy memories

Striker Stuart Fleetwood was delighted to banish the memories of last season’s shocking 3-0 reverse at Forest Green Rovers with a magnificent come-from-behind victory at the weekend, writes Mike Simmonds.

In what was to be one of former manager Gary Brabin’s last games in charge, Town had been well beaten on the night as Fleetwood, himself a former Rovers player, said: “It’s definitely nice to come back and get three points.

“Last season, I missed a one-on-one when it was 0-0, so I was really disappointed about that. I definitely wanted to come back and score. The three points were the most important thing but to get that goal was special as well.”
