Fleetwood delighted to see Amari return

THE return of Amari Morgan-Smith to full fitness has left the Hatters with a abundance of striking riches according to top scorer Stuart Fleetwood, writes Mark Wood.

After an injury-hit season, Morgan-Smith made two cameo appearances for Luton as they scored a 3-2 aggregate play-off semi-final victory over Wrexham.

The 23-year-old has been desperate to play a part in the play-offs after missing out last term through asthma and Fleetwood was delighted for his team-mate.

He said: “It’s fantastic. We all feel great for him to come back. He’s had a tough time this season. He started off so well and there was a lot of hype about him. I know he’s been very disappointed with his injuries and feels very upset about it.

“But he’s worked very hard, the physios have worked very hard with him. To come back at this point in the season, he is another asset for us. He’s got goals, he’s strong and is another option.”
