Former Hatter takes over at Crawley Green

CRAWLEY Green have appointed former Luton Town player and Scotland U21 international Darren Salton as manager, after Neil Tattersall stepped down due to family and work commitments.

Tattersall had been in charge of the club for six seasons, during which time he and assistant Bobby Males bettered the team’s league position each year, while Jon Cook, Steve Burgess and Tracey McFadden have all made considerable contributions.

Salton, who made 18 appearances for Town between 1991-92, before injury forced him to retire, has had managerial spells at Hitchin Town, Hemel Hempstead and Slough Town and will be assisted by Robbie Keane.
