Gleeson would pay to play against Cambridge

TOWN defender Dan Gleeson is desperate to make a return to first team action at the Abbey Stadium when Hatters visit Cambridge United on Saturday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The 26-year-old made over 100 appearances for the U’s during three spells with the club before moving to Luton last season.

He said: “I’d pay money to play in that one. It’s a big game, you only have to look at the league position of the two sides.

“We want to go there and win, I’m sure they’ll want to win as much as we do. It will be a good atmosphere and fingers crossed we come out on top.”

Meanwhile, Luton have confirmed they have sold out their 1,800 allocation of tickets at the Abbey.
