Winger Green was of the same opinion as his manager, saying: “I think Jack took his goal, while Josh got his flick header in and we did that quite well pre-season, linking up.

“He’s really good in the air which I don’t think people realise, he made a good run, got in between the centre halves and steered it in.

“My one just came off a free kick, I chested it and volleyed it. It got a little deflection and went in. Usually I like scoring from distance so it was nice to get a bit of luck.

“I had a free kick at the end that the goalkeeper just pushed away as well, which was a nice hit, I was pleased with that one.

“We had more chances to score as well, so attacking wise it’s a bit of a positive but team defending-wise, it’s a bit of a negative.”
