Goalscorer Crow is ready to kick on

STRIKER Danny Crow is hoping that his last-gasp winner at Newport County AFC on Saturday is not only a kickstart to the Hatters’ title hopes, but to his personal fortunes this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Crow fired home late on for only his fourth goal of the campaign and his first in 10 games, stretching back to the 2-0 win over Darlington on September 10.

After starting the majority of Town’s opening matches, Crow has found himself in and out of the side recently and said: “It’s been very frustrating for myself, not being involved as much as I wanted to be, but Fleets (Stuart Fleetwood) is a very good player and Azza’s (Aaron O’Connor) been exceptional.

“He’s been one of our best players, so what can you do. You’ve got to be patient and support the lads.”
