Graham joins Forest Green

HATTERS: Experienced centre-half Luke Graham has joined Luton Town’s Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Forest Green Rovers for an undisclosed fee from Kettering Town.

The 25-year-old spent the tail end of last season on loan from the Poppies at Kenilworth Road and also enjoyed a spell at Forest Green in 2005-06.

Rovers boss Dave Hockaday, who has signed him on a two-year deal, said: “His experience will complement our squad.

“Luke Graham is a player I have been interested in for a long time. He is vastly experienced in this league and comes from winning teams and has a mentality to win games.”

Kettering boss Morell Maison had said: “Luke has got a bit to do to break into this group. His game hasn’t moved to the levels that I expect and that I know he is capable of. He has had a slow start, and his back problem has limited him in training. I am looking for another centre-half so it is not going to be easy to get into this squad.”
