Graham sneaks inside the window for Hatters

CENTRE-HALF Luke Graham joined the Hatters just 30 minutes before tonight’s transfer deadline closed, writes Mark Wood.

The 24-year-old Kettering defender was the last man in at Kenilworth Road and followed Friday’s acquisition of winger Robbie Willmott.

However, veteran striker Kevin Gallen and young wide man Taylor Nathaniel followed Andy Drury, Pavel Besta and Taiwo Atieno out of the door late in the day.

Graham has signed until the end of the season with the view to a permanent deal.

Kettering-born Graham opted to sign for the Poppies for the second time in his career in the summer after spending last season helping York City to the play-off final.

The former Northampton Town man starred in the play-off semi-finals for the Minstermen against the Hatters as Luton were twice shut out by York.

Graham has been handed the number five shirt and goes straight into Luton’s squad for tomorrow night’s visit of Darlington.
