The 21-year-old took to social media to defend himself after some fans had questioned his desire since signing a new contract.
Speaking for the first time about it, Gray exclusively told the News/Gazette: “It’s football and no-one likes losing, especially the fans.
“I was just defensive about certain things that were said.
“I can take criticism, but that’s done now. I’m over that period and want to concentrate on my football.”
