Guttridge not happy to view Town’s fightback as a point gained

Hatters midfielder Luke Guttridge wasn’t of the opinion that Town’s 2-2 draw at Accrington could be considered a point gained.

The visitors found themselves staring at defeat after just 16 minutes, trailing 2-0 down, but the introduction of Guttridge saw them fight back to level before half time.

Both sides went on to have chances in the second period, but honours finished even as the substitute said: “It depends what angle you look at it from. If you’re happy to survive and be in the league this season and just stabilise then you might look at it as a good point.

“Whereas we’re not looking to do that, we’re looking to be pushing for promotion again.

“So we’ve got to be coming to places like this to win.”

One thing Guttridge is sure of though, was that Town need to make sure they don’t ever start another match in the same fashion this season.
