“I did my first proper training session on Friday with the lads and they’ve made it easy for me to settle in.
“I know they lost on Tuesday and lost again, but that sometimes happens in football.
“Come Saturday we’ll put it right and things will sway our way.”

He continued “I was a bit shocked by the first half, the ball was in the air most of the time.
“It was a real eye opener, but that’s what I’ve come here to do.
“I’ve come to to get experience and see how it’s like in the leagues, so that will serve me well for the future.”

He was on the bench for the Hammers’ FA Cup and Premier League matches recently, but wanted to experience first team football again.
He said: “I’ve missed it, it’s not the same playing 21s football.
“It’s good being on the bench now and then for the first team, but those opportunities are a bit lacking at the minute.

Although his stay has been a short one so far, Lee has made a good impression according to keeper Elliot Justham.
He said: “Elliot came in Thursday, trained Friday and you can tell he looked sharp and is going to score goals for us.
“It was a great finish and he almost had another one, hopefully he can score some more in the run-in.”

“We’ve no doubt that he can come in and contributes as Elliot’s a goalscorer so he’ll be fine.”
